Whispers of the Wild, The Brooklyn Mae Carroll Foundation is honored to offer this scholarship to senior students at Middle Creek High School. Established in loving memory of 10-year old Brooklyn Mae Carroll, this scholarship supports students who demonstrate compassion, integrity, and a commitment to positively impacting their communities. Through this award, the Foundation continues to encourage youth to lead with integrity and make a positive difference in the world.

Award Amount: $5,000 each
Application Deadline: April 10, 2026
Recipient Selection: May 4, 2026
Announcement of Recipients: May 10, 2026
Senior Awards Banquet: May 28, 2026
Eligibility Requirements
1. Be a current senior (or recent graduate) at Middle Creek High School in Apex, NC
2. Maintain a minimum unweighted 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale
3. Plan to attend an accredited college, university, or technical school in the upcoming academic year.
Required Materials
Please have the following ready before you begin your application:
Official high school transcript (showing GPA and graduation year)
Proof of college acceptance (if available)
Two letters of recommendation from teachers, mentors, or community leaders
Personal essay
You will receive a confirmation email showing your responses once your application is submitted. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
